New year

Well to those that still check my blog: Sorry I've let you guys down for so long.

Happy new year every peoples!

I spent today takeing apart a swing set and pouring a concrete slab in our garage/lean-to on the side of the house. We figure we poured about a cubic meter of crete. Now this ain't "quick-crete" or any of your American time saveing type of concrete, this is the real stuff. Given we didn't have to mix it by hand (we have a cement mixer that runs on a small motor) but we did have to throw four buckets of gravel, two and a half of sand, and a bag of cement powder into the contraption every load not to mention keeping it wet enough that it wouldent clump to the inside of the mixer and dry enought that it wasn't soupy. Then we had to pour it back into buckets to pour it into the frame we built with a couple boards. So we got half of the job done and have one bag of cement powder left from the origional pile of ten. I hope my dad dosn't try to tackle the other half all by his onezy. It's a real job.

So I'm tired, siting here at the computer copying dvd'z (shhhhhhhh) :P. I bought them anyway, I'm just makeing backups for me to watch instead of depriveing my dad of seeing them.

Going to be heading back to the states on Wednesday afternoon. Sigh! I don't want to go back to school... I feel like no matter how long I live in the US, "home will alwayse be here in the Caribian. My second home will probably alwayse be Perkasie PA and my third Belton SC.

When I was a child I acted like a child, I played like a child. But now that I'm an adult, I am forced to join the world of adults. It's not a pretty thing.
